Over the Years.....
61 South began in September of 1992 in Paducah, KY, with the original lineup of "Fast Layne" Hendrickson on vocals and guitar, Col. JD Wilkes on Harmonica, Ike Eicholtz on drums, Jeff Statler on bass , and Jonus Cowan on guitar....

Circa 1994:  The 1st picture I have of me after joining 61 South.  "Fast Layne" Hendrickson was the frontman/leader of the band. Later that year, he split for New Orleans and did well in the French Quarter.  "Fast Layne" is now back in Western Kentucky and enjoying the country life as a blacksmith in Marshall County.  This picture was taken at a club called "The Landing."  The building is now home to the McCracken County Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Ike on drums, JD Wilkes on Harmonica, and Jeff Statler on bass.
